This 8106 version of the HAG Capisco saddle seat chair is configured with leather upholstery. The base price is for the 5-day express L3 Highlands Leather, but if you can wait 15 business days, you can choose from all of the other Sierra or Lena Leathers. Design Studio Note: Well, this could be our favorite chair certainly in terms or originality and design. Given the interesting options and textiles and the fact that this active sitting chair or stool has been around since active sitting became in vogue, then yes it might be! We love the Capisco in any form. This chair is a product of Norway and the quality certainly shows. Without a doubt, the detail that catches our eye every time is the carefully cast aluminum painted or polished base. At the base tips, a cute little feature is sculpted in. Yep, a ribbed and arched foot rest. Flip your loafers or flats off and massage the tired soles of your feet or merely perch them atop the base and get them off the floor. Active sitting incorporates all aspects of movement right down to your feet! Just another small way to help your circulation and improve your health as you work away the day. Sit sideways. Sit backwards. It's all good and part of every Capisco chair.

The GREENGUARD Gold Certification Standard includes health-based criteria for additional chemicals (compare to GREENGUARD Standard) and also requires lower total volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions levels to ensure that products are acceptable for use in environments such as schools and health care facilities. In addition to limiting emissions of more than 360 VOCs and total chemical emissions, GREENGUARD Gold Certified products must also comply with requirements of the state of California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Standard Method for the Testing and Evaluation of Volatile Organic Chemical Emissions from Indoor Sources Using Environmental Chambers,(also known as California Section 01350). Office furniture products that are GREENGUARD Gold Certified are also compliant with the BIFMA X7.1 standard.

Peter Opsvik works together with seven colleagues in his studio. Although Peter Opsvik comes up with most of the basic concepts, the work of translating his raw idea into a finished, manufacturable product is a team effort.

The studio has a strong focus on product design as a mean for solving real-life problems. Core competence is furniture design, interior design, ergonomics, environmental oriented solutions, engineering and communication. The studio works both independently and in close collaboration with major manufacturers, such as Hag and Varier.
